DIY Wooden Decor: Nail-and-Thread Crafting Tutorial
To make our wooden decoration, you will need: yarn, nails, and a wooden board.

For the base, we chose a Tavola wooden board, and with a pencil sketched the design onto it. We chose colors based on the reference image, but you can let your imagination run free. We used a large yarn set with 24 different shades.

Once you have drawn the design, hammer nails into the board. Depending on the spacing you choose, the coverage will be denser or more sparse. We chose a spacing of 15 mm. Be sure not to hammer the nails all the way in. (Feel free to use the picture for inspiration.)

Tie the yarn to a nail with a small knot to start, then fill in the design however you like. Remember to wrap the yarn around the outline of the design too, to define the shape of the decoration.
Tip: For an interesting look, try to follow a pattern as you fill in the design.

You can alternate colors however you like, but keep in mind that the new color will form the surface of the picture.
